Headgear
Head wear measurement is the circumference of the crown, measured around the skull, about one centimeter above the ears. Make sure to measure accurately - keep the measure tape tight. Generally, you'll want a hat that is not too small - 1 cm wont make much difference though. Some headgear (especially berets) will loosen and "grown in size" when used. This can be accounted for by ordering one size smaller.

Very good quality and did not smell weird as products in storage often do.
Gave it a good shake and wore it straight out of the box.
A bit small for my head but I'll make it work (60cm circumference)

Fits nice, tight and comfortably on my head perfectly.
Warmth it offers is better than expected and the wool doesn't itch at all for me. Doesn't smell or look like its been in long term storage except for one tiny bit of wool on the inside.

unfortunately the hat I got is defective,with a wrongly sewed side so there is a big ugly lump on one side, otherwise I would love this hat, but...

Nice old piece of gear. 'Used' is definitely used, had to scrub pretty thoroughly to get the grease smell down to a tolerable level and will require a little bit of reinforcement stitching on the strap. It's probably worth getting a slightly higher grade. Fits true to size IF you order according to instructions and add a couple of centimeters.
