Z-folded Combat Gauze - QuikClot by Teleflex

                The X-ray detectable strip that is embedded in QuikClot® Combat Gauze® ensures that the gauze will be found when the patient is taken into the operating room.

            The QuikClot® Combat Gauze® Z-Fold is a soft, white, sterile, non-woven gauze impregnated with kaolin, an inert mineral that contains no animal, human or botanical proteins. QuikClot® Combat Gauze® Z-Fold is an improvement of the original QuikClot® Combat Gauze®. Following feedback received from the U.S. military, Z-Medica has improved the QuikClot® Combat Gauze® product by making it Z-folded, vacuum-packed, and with an X-ray detectable strip. The QuikClot® Combat Gauze® Z-Fold is even easier to apply because the gauze is z-folded, which makes it easier to wrap wounds and eliminates the risk of the roll falling out and becoming contaminated. QuikClot® Combat Gauze® Z-Fold Gauze® Z-Fold's vacuum-packing feature makes it much more compact, saving space on the body.

             Each QuikClot® Combat Gauze® Z-Fold is individually packaged in a vacuum-sealed military foil pouch and is intended for the external, temporary control of traumatic bleeding. Like all QuikClot® gauze products, it is flexible, foldable, and adaptable to all wounds. Recommended as the number one hemostatic agent by the CoTCCC (Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Casualty Care), QuikClot® Combat Gauze® Z-Fold is the only product carried by all branches of the U.S. military to control bleeding that can cause bleeding and hemorrhage.
